Sunday Preschool 

 

Ages 3, 4, 5 yrs. (September through April)
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
All preschoolers are welcome. During this hour, the children are taught about God, family, and self. Using the same Sunday Readings their parents hear proclaimed during Mass, they explore how much God loves them.

Elementary (Grades 1-4) Saturdays (September through April)
9:30AM - 11:00AM
Elementary Formation offers family sacramental preparation for First Eucharist and First Penance. Individualized arrangements for sacramental preparation are made for older children/youth who have not yet received sacraments (Baptism/Eucharist).
Youth in Grades 3 and 4 are encouraged and expected to continue attending weekly sessions for ongoing formation after sacrament reception.

New! Junior High Students, grades 5 - 6 can now attend non-sacramental classes on either Tuesday evenings from 7:15 PM - 8:30 PM or now on Saturdays from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM.  Please indicate which day you choose on the registration form.  Youngsters attend weekly sessions discussing and sharing about Scripture, Morality, Ethics, and Christian living.

 

Older children/youth who are in need of sacraments (Baptism/Eucharist) attend regular grade level sessions as well as an individualized sacramental preparation process.

High School  Confirmation Mondays (September through April)
 7:15 PM - 8:30 PM
The Confirmation process offers Confirmation sacramental preparation to high school youth. The two-year process allows the candidates to learn to live as Christ taught. It also assists teens in becoming active members of the parish community through catechesis, retreats, social interaction, service projects and fellowship.
High School youth in need of sacraments (Baptism/Eucharist) attend regular Confirmation Sessions as well as an individualized sacramental preparation process.

Liturgy of the Word for Children

During the 10:00 AM Sunday Mass, children are called forward and dismissed to share and discuss a simpler version of the Sunday Readings. They pray the Creed, have their own Petitions and return to their families in Church to celebrate the Eucharist together after the Homily. For more information, call the RE Office 562/943-5678.
